Q:
Do you have a backup plan in the event of Internet disruption during Live Trading?

A:
In the unlikely event that a platform malfunction or Internet server disruption should ever occur while live trading is in progress (which it never has) we have a secondary platform standing by to continue the trading session seamlessly. In that event an email will be sent out immediately containing a link, which will take you right there.

We have intentionally planned a secondary backup just to be on the safe side, and we will always notify subscribers by email of any changes or technical difficulties with the platform, in advance of the upcoming trading session. This is one of the reasons we request a reliable email address for each of our subscribers (please read the FAQ explaining why free web based email addresses are not the best).

Remember that if you experience a power failure and you lose the use of your computer while you have an open trade, you can always phone your brokerage house and monitor or close the trade via phone. This is where keeping records of each open trade transaction number in progress is your best safety net. This, in fact, was how trades were done not so long ago, before the advent of computers.

Speaking of power failures (thunderstrikes, outages, tripped circuit breakers etc.), we would like to take this opportunity to recommend that every trader have a good battery backup for your computer (available at any computer store $20. - $100.), which can prove invaluable in allowing you several minutes of auxiliary power to enable you to close your open trades or shut down your trading station properly.
