Q:
Why are web based email readers a problem?

A:

We are not able to accept web-based email addresses (i.e. free online email services such as yahoo, hotmail, juno etc.) for our Introductory trial period. Due to the inherent problems of web-based email we have learned that they do not reliably give you the best trial of our services. For your Introductory Trial please provide us with your 'real' email address (ie. the email address that your Internet provider gave you to receive email).

We have found that web based email readers are not the best email for use with time sensitive correspondence. Our trading advisory often necessitates up to the minute communication with our subscribers, and any delay in delivery time is problematic.

Additionally, these email readers are not the best for any communication that is sent out in bulk, such as our newsletters. Often bulk email of any kind is detected by these email readers as having been sent out as part of a large broadcast mail-out, this alerts their spam filters and our email newsletter to you gets automatically trashed without your ever being aware that it has gone missing. Even setting your exceptions for allowing certain types or specified addresses of bulk mail is not reliable protection against their assiduous spam filters (AOL, for example, has a particularly zealous spam filter).

Direct Email service providers, (where your email is delivered right to your computer email reader program, not accessed online or rerouted to your email inbox from online) on the other hand, are dedicated to insure that your email is handled in a way that gives you no problems.

If you choose a paid subscription we will naturally accept any email address that you designate. We understand that sometimes traders in remote areas prefer to use free online email services because it is to some degree more reliable than their local Internet email provider.

If you continue experiencing delays, please contact us to discuss dedicated email options suitable for your situation.
